Xiaoan Li, Ph.D. in Higher Education and Organizational Change from UCLA, is currently a Senior Program Officer at the Fetzer Institute, a philanthropic foundation based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Since 2011, Xiaoan has actively participated in the exploration of building the spiritual foundation for a loving world, being responsible for the development of new project initiatives and the management of the full life cycle of the project process within the areas of k-12 and higher education. For Xiaoan, the purpose of education is to develop the whole person and that the primary role of parents, educators, and society is to create an environment and conditions for children and young people to develop spiritual awareness, personal character, social and emotional skills, and civic engagement.
